Taming Nightmares

A friend named Lisa Wolff told me one day when we were talking about psychic experiences we'd had, that when she was a little girl growing up in Germany many years ago, she had often had nightmares in which she couldn't escape from some bogeyman. She would be terrorized by someone unknown to her in these nightmare and would wake crying, sometimes screaming. Her father would often come to comfort her after one of these scary dreams.Her father was actively involved in metaphysical studies. He thought about his little girl's problem for a while. Then one day he told her that it is possible to wake up while you are still in a dream (have what's called a lucid dream) and then you can alter the script of the dream, so Lisa decided to try that.
Actually, though, she created her own version of this technique.
Perhaps you can use it, too, if you are ever troubled by nightmares like Lisa's.
She found that when she was chased in one of her bad dreams, all she had to do was make herself invisible just by saying, "I'm invisible now." And, after the pursuer had looked right and left and behind him for her without finding her anywhere, he simply gave up and went away.
Try this if you're ever pursued in a dream and can wake enough to consciously control your dreaming-just put a bridle on that nightmare (by knowing you're invisible) and he won't be able to throw you!
I work in a mansion in Bel Air with four other clerical workers, one dog, two of the owner's children, the owner, his wife, one driver, and their housekeeper, Cordelia.
Cordelia, the housekeeper, is from El Salvador. She just may be the most important member of this entourage. She sees to it that the children get to and from school and their appointments. She feeds the children. She feeds Happy, the dog. She walks Happy. She polishes the miles of marble that are the house's most memorable feature.
We met in passing in the tiny kitchen on the office floor of the house and chatted for the first time many months ago about the fact that we both feel there are ghostly presences in the house. She said she has heard them. I have felt them, especially their emotional states. There seems to be a great deal of sadness in the entities I have encountered.
